Season Begins- Winter 2026/2027 Season

We wrapped up the season at the biggest track of the season! USA Speedway proved to be a tough one for some and a ton of fun for others!

Jamie Massey took control late and finished out the sweep of both Modified Madness Features! That’s 2 wins on the season for Jamie in the UMP’s and Feature win #99 in the Monsters of Dirt!

The story of the night was the Points battle coming in! On the books Tyler Jackson came in with a 1-point lead but with the drop race being counted in Dalton Dewert came in the points leader by 2! Another full season of racing and as always in this series it came down to the last lap! Tyler Jackson got the pole and the 3pt bonus, Dalton took home 2 pts for a 2nd place finish in his heat race. With the Feature being a very long 70 laps nobody knew how their tires or fuel were going to hold up. Tyler Jacksons strategy lead every lap. Dewerts strategy was to hang in the back. Save equipment and hope for cautions late in the race. After a very long green flag run and running from being lapped Dalton got caught up in an incident and the rest of his race was rough. Jackson fell through the field late as tire strategy caught up to him. With all this happening and only a few laps remaining on the final restart Dewert found himself on Jacksons bumper. Pretty much at that point who ever finished in front of the other would win the championship. They battled 3 wide with Eric Zuelzke refusing to back down to the championship contenders and subsequently took Dewert into the fence coming to the white flag and Jackson pulled away for his first MOD championship as Zuelzke finished in between them and was the difference. Jackson won the championship by 3 pts once a scoring error is fixed.

So close. Tyler Jackson has lost these MOD championships in agonizing moments over the years in the MOD as he’s collected championships in other leagues but he finally kicks the MOD hex that has loomed over him for 7 years!

Great job to Tyler and awesome season to all! Awesome season Champ! Even though in the MOD his nickname is now Flashin Jackson!
